About Adam

Adam D. Schlein has spent more than twenty years in Connecticut courtrooms as a litigator, special public defender, and personal injury attorney. He joined Ganim, Ganim & Ganim in 2020, where he represents clients in personal injury, criminal, workers' compensation, landlord/tenant, real estate, business and contract, and land use and zoning matters throughout the state — managing cases from the first client meeting through resolution.

Much of Adam's practice is devoted to people hurt through someone else's negligence: motor vehicle collisions, premises liability, and wrongful death claims. For over a decade he also served as a Special Public Defender, representing indigent defendants before the criminal courts of Connecticut — work that put him in court week in and week out and sharpened the trial skills he brings to his clients today.

Adam earned his Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University in 2000, with a concentration in psychology, and his Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2003. During law school he interned with the Office of the State's Attorney in Stamford, prosecuting motor vehicle and misdemeanor trials and sitting second chair at criminal trials, and with the legal office of the Connecticut Department of Public Health.

Admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 2003, Adam began his career as a Temporary Assistant Clerk in New Haven Superior Court. He then built his own practice — first as a partner at Cohen & Schlein in Hamden, then as a solo practitioner in Stratford — before spending thirteen years as an associate at Zanella, Boath & Associates. He joined Ganim, Ganim & Ganim in July 2020, practising out of the firm's Bridgeport office at 4666 Main Street alongside Attorney Tom Ganim and three generations of Ganim lawyers who have served the Greater Bridgeport community since 1951.

In The Community

Adam has served on a number of committees of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association and co-chaired student essay contests for Law Day events. He also served on the Board of Directors and Governance Committee of Her Haven, a Connecticut 501(c)(3) that brings beauty, comfort, and care to women in need through the gift of design.

Adam lives in Milford with his wife, Taryn, and their sons, Samuel and Max. He coaches Little League baseball and flag football for his sons' teams — time he values as much for the mentoring as for the game. Away from the sidelines he enjoys boating, golf, sporting clays and trap shooting, and league bowling.
